The Fashionable Lampoon

C

Lampoon, an elegant and sophisticated name, rich but essential. Essential in design and format, because the only real question is: What is fashionable today?

“Lampoon.it is a site for research and experimentation characterized by seriousness”, said Carlo Mazzoni, novelist, doctor and now Editor in Chief of this newborn reality that will become soon the new interpretation of fashion in the future.

From February 26 (2015) this magazine will debut with its first issue, one man and one woman, out every six months, a tangible reminder that fashion is the heart of Italy, “the best image of Italy abroad”. A message and a concept that the guests, during the Lampoon.it opening night,  seem to have grasped, aware “of the ruthless game and a little bastard” but extremely intriguing of which they will be complicit. This was the first “happening” for Carlo Mazzoni and his team (Giovanni Dario Laudicina, Candela Novembre, Roberta Ruiu, Paolo Stella) to present what he wants to be Lampoon: a mix of pop and snobbish. Not surprisingly, the evening began in the sophisticated Espace d’Hotes di Maria Licci, where tables were decorated with branches of ivy, leaves and ferns and where elaborate culinary arts were accompanied by Moët & Chandon. The party continued with rivers of Belvedere vodka in the most underground local of Milan, the Plastic.

Many guests as Andrea Pompilio and Alessandro Dell’Acqua, Sara Battaglia, Matilde Borromeo, Natasha Slater, bloggers Shea Marie, Patricia Manfield, Giotto Calendoli and Alessandra Airó. This is Plastic, This is Lampoon. “Who wants will be called to account – to the question at the beginning What is fashionable today? – With rigor and culture, with knowledge and profession. You will read, you will decree – and I promise you: it will be easy to understand who, in this big circus called fashion, is an acrobat or only an apprentice”, concludes Mazzoni.

This is the preface dear lampoonizer, to write the plot is up to you.
