Typewriter Edition: the new vintage capsule collection by Persol

A man, a writer, is writing the screenplay of his book. His hands rest on the keys of an old typewriter, words seem to escape or maybe not, he manages to tame them, he fix them on a white page. And sitting at the desk or on the terrace, he is lying on the couch or in bed, his creative process is taking the right path. Not by chance he’s Bret Easton Ellis: born in 1964, screenwriter and writer, he is the author of bestselling like American Psycho and The Rules of Attraction, works translated into thirty languages, some of which have become Hollywood cult.

To pay homage to him Persol created a collection that bears his name, the Typewriter Edition: two sunglasses and two glasses, made with high quality materials that recall vintage item. The name is engraved in the legendary American Typewriter font inside the temple. The quality of the lenses is not less: the sun models are proposed with a wide palette of crystal and polarized lenses with a thickness of only 1.8 mm. The search of  inspiration of Bret Easton Ellis then becomes a movie, directed by Sherif Hanza for Persol.
