Pop and luxury cocktail party by Cruciani

Mauro Perucchetti pop works were the perfect frame for the spring/summer collection 2015 by Cruciani. Luca Caprai succeed once again in turning his collection into a mirror that reflects the modern society.

Mauro Perucchetti focus on symbols to give society an appropriate answer : through a never-common perspective he creates a bond between pop aesthetic and social criticism to deal with most of the compelling cases.  To mention some examples: Jelly Baby, a small human shape candy that represents the throwaway culture. He use this medium to mock the aspirations that our society believe to have but that too easily are betray with cynicism.

In occasion of the cocktail party, Jelly Baby converted into a big Buddha or gather up in color lined to create a skyscraper, imaginary New York ONU branch. And again a toilet roll covered with Swarovski crystal as a metaphor of useless, senseless and harmful luxury. Among this artist works, Cruciani accessories came to light in a pop luxury mood: the “Born With a Silver Spoon” work of art by Perucchetti becomes a silver pendant.

Cashmere, silk cashmere, silk, silk-cotton-cashmere, linen-silk and  linen-cotton with paillettes are the protagonists of this collection. Cruciani owner, Luca Caprai, outlines a modern femininity, sensual and sophisticated. Romy Schneider is infact the muse of the collection: an aristocratic beauty and passionate icon that fit perfectly for Cruciani philosophy.
